Wilfrid is an experienced leader with a demonstrated history of working in the reinsurance industry for more than 2 decades. With skills and knowledge garnered across mainly Client Management and Treaty Underwriting roles rounded up with a short stint in Claims Management. Core underwriting experience has been centered in Property & Engineering treaty with the main markets being India and SEA. This has been further complemented with backgrounds in other lines of business, namely Marine and Casualty, as well as in non- traditional structured solutions. Client Management focused markets were the Philippines and Thailand. This was coupled with an extended role as a broker liaison which involved building market intelligence on broker's strategy and managing the relationship development in the region.
Wilfrid currently heads the Public Sector Solution team at Swiss Re for Asia excluding China. In this role, he builds and maintains relationships with various Public Sector entities including that of Governments, Development Finance Institutions and NGOs. Through this collaboration, Wilfrid aims to provide sustainable solutions that can help close the protection gap and make communities, businesses, and individuals more resilient.
Wilfrid holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and Bachelor of Science (Statistics) from The University of Melbourne.
