Director for Financial Examination, Insurance Commission of Philippines
Paola is a development finance specialist spanning over a decade of experience in government. She is currently serving as the Director for Financial Examination at the Insurance Commission (IC), where she oversees the supervision of IC regulated entities, and manages policy, sustainability and international cooperation initiatives. Prior to this role, she served as a Finance Attaché at the International Finance Group of the Department of Finance, spearheading the fund sourcing operations in partnership with multilateral development banks and bilateral agencies, and leading the execution of ROP international bonds. She also assumed several leadership roles in developing debt management strategies, structuring innovative financing solutions for various sectors, and implementing the Government's Disaster Risk Financing and Insurance Strategy.
Paola is a Certified Treasury Professional in the Philippines. She holds an MBA with a specialization in Finance (with Distinction) from Hult International Business School, and a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics with a major in Mathematical Finance and a minor in Economics from Ateneo de Manila University. Most recently, she completed a Graduate Diploma in Debt Capital Markets at the Henley Business School, University of Reading as a recipient of the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) Scholarship.
