Senior Vice President, Public Sector & Broking, Guy Carpenter
Apoorv Dabral is the Head of Public Sector for Asia and Senior broker for Philippines and Vietnam. He is based in Singapore and in his current role, he is responsible for leading the Guy carpenter's public sector projects in the region, as well leading the Guy Carpenter business in Philippines and Vietnam.
Before moving into this role, he was a member of GC analytics team, specifically looking into the catastrophe modelling and advisory. Before joining Guy Carpenter, Apoorv was responsible for managing the Cat modelling activities across the region in JLT Re. Apoorv has also worked with a leading catastrophe modelling firms in Research and Modelling dept., where his role required him to actively lead, manage and support the research initiatives, model updates and validation in the Asia-Pacific region. Apoorv has significant experience in building catastrophe models and has been involved in several model development projects. He has earned his BS in Civil Engineering from Pune University, India, and an MS and a PhD. in Civil Engineering from Texas Tech University, USA.
