Minister of State for Ministry of Trade & Industry, and Ministry of National Development
Alvin Tan serves as Minister of State for Trade and Industry and National Development, and Board Member of the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
At the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI), he works with businesses to drive the growth of Singapore's startup ecosystem, shape the future of manufacturing and green tech, and expand Singapore's global trade, business and tourism appeal.
At the Ministry of National Development (MND), he is Minister in charge of the Municipal Services Office (MSO), and will focus on issues related to greenery, biodiversity conservation, and wildlife and animal health, welfare and management, in addition to public housing and urban planning.
At the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), he focuses on developing on our financial sector, particularly in fintech, green finance, and financial sector talent. He also served on the Inter-Ministerial Committee on Anti Money Laundering.
