The Global Asia Insurance Partnership (GAIP) is pleased to welcome the Insurance Regulator of Cambodia (IRC) as a regulatory partner. This partnership reflects a shared commitment to strengthening risk resilience across Asia by addressing protection gaps through evidence-based research, regional collaboration, and practical, policy-relevant action.
The collaboration aligns closely with GAIP's role as a neutral, research-driven convenor supporting regulators, insurers, and other stakeholders in navigating emerging risks and advancing long-term resilience. It also supports the Insurance Regulator of Cambodia's strategic priorities to strengthen regulatory capacity, promote market development, enhance consumer protection, and support the sustainable growth of Cambodia's insurance sector over the coming years.
“GAIP is delighted to welcome the Insurance Regulator of Cambodia as a regulatory partner,” said Min Hung Cheng, CEO of GAIP. “IRC plays a critical role in shaping Cambodia's insurance ecosystem, and this partnership reflects our shared belief that robust research, regional dialogue, and cross-sector collaboration are essential to narrowing protection gaps and building resilient economies across Asia.”
As a regulatory partner, the Insurance Regulator of Cambodia will engage with GAIP through its research initiatives and multi-stakeholder dialogue platforms. This includes access to GAIP's research and analytical tools, participation in regional policy discussions on emerging and systemic risks, and opportunities to exchange regulatory insights with peers across Asia. Through this partnership, GAIP and IRC aim to contribute to stronger risk understanding, informed policy development, and more resilient insurance markets that better serve communities and economies across the region.
