Associate Director

The Global Asia Insurance Partnership (GAIP) is an innovative tripartite partnership between academia, insurance supervisors, and the insurance industry in Asia. Our vision is to create a more resilient future. We do this through:

The Role:

We are currently looking for an Associate Director who can support our activities, primarily under GAIP's policy think tank and talent development pillars. Key responsibilities of the Associate Director will include:

  • Undertaking quantitative and qualitative research, analysis and preparing written materials in support of GAIP's policy research;
  • Supporting GAIP talent development initiatives to achieve our talent development goals;
  • Assisting in project management of initiatives and projects where such support is required; and
  • Providing ad hoc support to the team, on both projects and internal operations, as required.

What You Bring:

To be successful in this role you will need: 

  • Tertiary qualification, and ideally, experience in risk management or the financial sector, especially in insurance;
  • Good analytical and critical thinking skills, with attention to detail and a keen sense of curiosity;
  • Demonstrated ability to work across organisational boundaries and to function effectively both as a member of a team and individually as required;
  • To be a self-starter, with a demonstrated high level of initiative;
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards; and
  • Fluency in written and oral communication in English. Additional language skills are an advantage;

Good to have:

  • Experience in the financial services public sector, especially in Singapore, is an advantage;
  • Singapore citizen or permanent resident preferred.
